Welcome
and congratulations. We hope you will take the time and pursue our
website. There are many interesting things to learn about our council
including charitable events, fraternal and social functions and the
work we do for the less fortunate and needy.
The
Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal benefit society that was
formed to offer financial aid to its members and their families. The
Brunswick Council 4847 is one of 13,000 Knights of Columbus councils
worldwide and offers its members activities year around. Our council
was chartered in 1959 and is located in Brunswick, Ohio.
This is
just your first step into a journey that is both spiritual and
rewarding. The Knights of Columbus is an organization like no other.
There are a total of 1.7 million members world-wide, and growing. An
organization that, since 1882, has raised over a billion dollars for
countless charitable causes.
We are
men of faith. We are guided not only by our belief in God and the
Catholic Church, but by our belief in each other and in ourselves. We are
the Knights of Columbus. An organization strengthened by the successes
of our past, and driven by our goals for the future. This is evident
in the five key areas of service – faith, community, youth, family and
fellowship. We are dedicated to making a difference.
